Collaborative gastronomy design workshop with Shizuoka University of Art and Culture in Japan (November 2023). Eight students from Izmir University of Economics traveled to the Izu Peninsula to develop business models for culinary tourism in the Minami Izu region.
Working in mixed groups of 20 students (12 Japanese, 8 Turkish), mentored by designers from Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Toshiba and Toyota Auto Body, the teams developed product, service and system design proposals. Projects were presented to the Governor of Shizuoka and the Mayor of Minami Izu.
